Amanda Rohrer
Senior Associate
Amanda Rohrer joined Blackhorn Ventures part-time in October 2021 and will join as a Senior Associate in the summer of 2022 after completing her MBA at MIT Sloan School of Management. Prior to MIT Sloan, Amanda was a Summer Associate at Spring Lane Capital, a venture and growth equity firm investing in early-stage companies across the energy, transportation, food, and waste sectors. Previously, Amanda spent six years at Cambridge Associates, where she led investment due diligence that guided over $2 billion of capital commitments across the energy, real estate, infrastructure, and agriculture sectors. While there, she co-created the firm’s first sustainable real assets benchmark, the first private gender lens investment landscape, and was a founding member of the company’s LGBTQ+ affinity group.
Amanda received a B.A. in International Relations from the University of Virginia. During her MBA at MIT Sloan, Amanda held internships or conducted research projects at Social Finance, Closed Loop Partners, and Patagonia. In her spare time, Amanda enjoys backpacking and making homemade pasta with her family.
