Stephan Cizmar joined Blackhorn Ventures in 2022 as an Operating Partner and is primarily responsible for sourcing new investments and providing advisory support to portfolio companies.
Stephan is an experienced operator, investor, and two time founder and is currently co-founder and CSO of Lang.ai a no code service data platform built for customer support and experience teams. As an operator Stephan held senior strategy and product leadership roles at Yext where he helped scale the company from $40M in ARR to $330M and a successful IPO and previously held senior roles at IBM and Unqork as well. As an investor Stephan has backed over 40 companies through Lorimer Ventures, an operator led early stage syndicate he co-founded; he’s a thesis driven investor who is actively curating perspectives in developer tools, machine learning applications, energy, and industry 4.0 software categories.
Stephan graduated from Colby College with a dual degree in Economics and Science Technology and Society. He currently lives in Brooklyn, New York and enjoys cooking and running, and is an avid fan of live music.
